Professional uPVC & Exterior Gutter Cleaning in Exeter

Looking to have leaves, moss and debris removed from inside your gutters? Visit our Gutter Clearance Exeter page for our professional gutter vacuuming service.

Reflection Window Cleaners provides professional gutter, fascia and soffit cleaning throughout Exeter and the surrounding areas, helping restore dirty and weathered uPVC rooflines.

Over time, external guttering, fascias and soffits can become stained by dirt, algae, traffic film and organic growth. Using professional water-fed pole equipment and carefully selected cleaning solutions where required, we thoroughly clean these surfaces to brighten the appearance of your property.

Our high-reach equipment allows us to clean many upper-level gutters, fascias and soffits safely from ground level, including areas that can be difficult to access using traditional cleaning methods.

Gutter, fascia and soffit cleaning can be booked as a one-off service or combined with window cleaning and gutter clearance for a more complete exterior clean.

Gutter Cleaning vs Gutter Clearance – What's the Difference?

Although the terms gutter cleaning and gutter clearance are often used interchangeably, they are actually two different services.

External gutter cleaning removes dirt, algae, staining and organic growth from the visible outside of your guttering, helping to restore and brighten the appearance of the roofline. This is often carried out alongside fascia and soffit cleaning for a more complete result.

Gutter clearance involves removing leaves, moss and other debris from inside the gutters to help rainwater flow freely and reduce the risk of overflowing or blocked gutters.

We offer both services throughout Exeter and the surrounding areas, and they can be carried out together if required. A discounted combined price is available when gutter clearance and external gutter, fascia and soffit cleaning are carried out during the same visit.

Gutter, Fascia & Soffit Cleaning FAQ

How much does gutter, fascia and soffit cleaning cost?

Gutter, fascia and soffit cleaning starts from around £40 per side for a typical 1–3 bedroom property. The final price depends on the size of the property, access, the amount of uPVC being cleaned and its condition. We can also clear leaves, moss and debris from inside the gutters during the same visit. A discounted combined price is available when gutter clearance and external gutter, fascia and soffit cleaning are carried out together. We provide a clear quotation before carrying out any work, so you'll know exactly what the service will cost.

How often should gutters, fascias and soffits be cleaned?

There is no fixed schedule, as it depends on the property's location, surrounding trees, exposure and how quickly dirt and organic growth build up. For most properties, external gutters, fascias and soffits can be cleaned every 1–2 years to keep the roofline looking well maintained. Properties surrounded by trees or in damp and shaded locations may benefit from more frequent cleaning. Gutter clearance is slightly different. The inside of the gutters should be checked regularly and cleared when required to prevent leaves, moss and debris from restricting the flow of rainwater. Properties close to trees may require more frequent gutter clearance.

Can you clean high or difficult-to-reach gutters and fascias?

Yes. Our professional water-fed pole equipment allows us to clean many high and difficult-to-reach gutters, fascias and soffits safely from ground level, including areas above conservatories and extensions. For particularly high or awkward areas, we will assess the access and working conditions first to make sure the work can be carried out safely and effectively. If specialist access is required, we will discuss the available options with you before carrying out the work.

Do you clean the inside of the gutters as well?

Yes. We also provide a professional gutter clearance service, removing leaves, moss and other debris from inside the gutters using specialist gutter-vacuum equipment. Gutter clearance can be booked separately or carried out at the same time as your external gutter, fascia and soffit cleaning. A discounted combined price is available when both services are completed during the same visit. For more information, including how the service works and pricing, visit our Gutter Clearance Exeter page.

Can you remove green algae and black staining from gutters and fascias?

Yes. Green algae, organic growth and general weathering are common on external gutters, fascias and soffits, particularly in damp or shaded areas. We use professional water-fed pole equipment together with carefully selected cleaning solutions where required to break down stubborn dirt and organic staining and restore the appearance of the uPVC. Most staining can be significantly improved or removed. However, older uPVC can sometimes have permanent discolouration, fading or staining that cleaning alone cannot completely restore. Take a look at the before-and-after photos on this page and our Google Business Profile to see examples of our gutter, fascia and soffit cleaning results around Exeter.

Do I need to be at home?

No, you don't normally need to be at home. As long as we have safe access to the areas being cleaned and any gates are unlocked, we can usually complete the work while you're out. We will send you an advance notification before your scheduled visit, giving you time to arrange access if required. If we need access to anything specific at your property, such as an outside water supply, we will let you know beforehand.

Can gutter, fascia and soffit cleaning be combined with window cleaning?

Yes. Gutter, fascia and soffit cleaning can easily be combined with our professional window cleaning service, allowing us to clean the roofline and windows during the same visit. We would normally clean the gutters, fascias and soffits first, followed by the windows, frames and sills to ensure everything is left looking clean. If you're booking several exterior cleaning services together, please let us know when requesting a quote. We can usually offer better value when multiple services are completed during the same visit.

Do you use any chemicals when cleaning gutters, fascias and soffits?

Where possible, we use purified water and professional water-fed pole equipment to clean external gutters, fascias and soffits. For heavier staining, algae or more stubborn organic growth, we may also use carefully selected professional cleaning solutions to help achieve a better result. The cleaning method is adjusted to suit the surface and level of contamination, rather than using strong chemicals unnecessarily. We also take appropriate precautions around surrounding windows, painted surfaces, plants and other sensitive areas.
